As a Community Services Coordinator, you'll primarily work in our contact center, supporting the planning, administration, and implementation of rental and utility assistance services, community initiatives, and compliance. We Require

  • Bachelor's in planning, social services, public administration, business administration, or a closely related field
  • Job-related experience may substitute for the required post-secondary education on a year-for-year basis

Job Contributions

  • Lead, train, and manage a support team dedicated to providing exceptional services to Maricopa County residents
  • Guide the contact center team in problem-solving for clients, vendors, and internal partners
  • Regularly observe team calls to identify coaching opportunities and provide effective feedback
  • De-escalate challenging client situations and ensure a positive customer experience
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure accurate programmatic information and effectively relay client feedback
  • Collaborate with all Human Services Department (HSD) divisions to implement best practices for service delivery
  • Provide leadership and support for continuous improvement initiatives
  • Conduct analysis of program-related data, prepare comprehensive written reports, and develop actionable recommendations, including area metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Working Conditions

  • Work is routinely performed in an office environment, which may require long periods of sitting, reading, and typing
  • Requires travel to program sites throughout Maricopa County
  • The position requires travel to and from various county, client, and contractor locations during a scheduled workday, subject to County policies regarding the use of County vehicles and/or private vehicles used on County business
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Arizona driver’s license, class D
  • Must complete a background check and fingerprint identification upon hire to secure and maintain an Arizona Department of Public Safety Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
