The Singletons is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving single-parent families battling cancer. Through programs such as Singleton Kitchen, Bare Necessities, Birthday Bash, and Wellness Beyond Cancer workshops, we provide critical resources that bring comfort, stability, and connection during times of overwhelming challenge.
Position Summary:
The Director of Development & Strategic Partnerships is a mission-critical leader at The Singletons, directly responsible for driving the organization's financial growth and sustainability. This high-impact role leads all donor engagement efforts, with a strategic focus on cultivating individual donors, securing corporate partnerships, and executing compelling year-end giving campaigns.
Working closely with the CEO, Case Management Director, and Board of Directors, this position serves as the bridge between The Singletons’ powerful mission and the community of supporters who make it possible. The Director will play a key role in expanding brand visibility, strengthening philanthropic relationships, and converting donor interest into lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall fundraising strategy with a strong focus on corporate giving and donor retention.
- Cultivate and manage key relationships with individual donors and corporate partners.
- Increase brand visibility and community awareness through consistent donor communications and storytelling that highlights The Singletons’ impact.
- Design and implement annual giving campaigns, particularly emphasizing year-end appeals and donor retention.
- Collaborate with the CEO and board members to identify and engage new funding prospects.
- Strengthen donor stewardship practices, ensuring all supporters feel valued and connected to the mission.
- Utilize CRM tools (e.g., Network for Good) to manage donor pipelines and track engagement metrics.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 3- 5+ years of experience in nonprofit development, donor relations, or corporate partnership management.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Canva, and nonprofit CRM platforms such as Network for Good or Salesforce.
- Proven success in building long-term donor or corporate relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a gift for storytelling.
- Strategic thinker with attention to detail and follow-through.
- Passion for The Singletons’ mission and a genuine desire to serve families in crisis.
