Job Overview
Cortney's Place is a non-profit Day Program for adults with developmental disabilities. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Director to lead our organization under the guidance of the Executive Director. The Operations Director will have a proven track record in operations management, with the goal of maximizing efficiency and effectiveness throughout the organization, while ensuring all activities are aligned with its mission and culture. The Operations Director provides oversight of all program employees and all operations to ensure a consistent and quality program for adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. This position is responsible for day-to-day operations, including record keeping and staff team supervision, including the Program Director. Candidate must be a self-starter with highly meticulous organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, flexible, and enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced, growing organization. Able to engage and interface with others is critical and mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the maintenance of departmental operations to achieve compliance with contract requirements, licensing and monitoring standards, agency procedures, Federal/State/Local regulations and all other licensing/regulatory agencies as directed. Adhere to current training requirements and applicable accreditation and licensing/regulatory standards and compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements.
  • Ensure accurate completion of administrative tasks to include program and operational documentation.
  • Collaborate with Executive Director to seek and implement new and advanced training opportunities. Develop strategies to encourage, motivate and empower staff for personal growth and achieve set goals.
  • With the Executive Director, develop the annual budget.
  • Manage the budget in association with the accountants and the executive director, reviewing monthly reports.
  • Take corrective action as needed to ensure a stable budget outcome.
  • Oversee facilities operations.
  • Ensure that the internal operations of the organization run smoothly and that processes are put in place to deliver performance and achieve goals.
  • Establish and maintain an efficient organizational structure for assigned service areas.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in operations management or a similar leadership role within a dynamic environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of DDD rules, policies and procedures, especially as they relate to compliance in a Day Program setting
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a positive work culture.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
  • Must have skills in public relations, communication, and interpersonal relationships.
