Part-Time Office Manager
HandsOn Greater Phoenix is a local 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that puts volunteers to work where they are needed most. We offer fun, impactful and diverse ways for people to give back to their communities. This includes an active volunteer event calendar, support for local schools and organizations, and customized service projects for teams and businesses. HandsOn Greater Phoenix is an affiliate of Points of Light, an innovative global alliance of volunteer organizations working to build community through service and civic engagement across the United States and abroad.
Position Overview:
This position will start at 20 hours per week with the potential to move to full time. The position includes office management, bookkeeping, technology, procurement, benefits/policy reviews, fleet oversight, etcetera. This position will work both independently and collaboratively with other team members to ensure organizational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily bookkeeping to include mail, invoices, checks, payroll
- Facilitate monthly and annual financial close in partnership with contract CPA, CEO and board treasurer
- Support team culture- meetings, trainings, handbook/policy updates and PTO tracking
- Support and maintain technology throughout office environment
- Participate in organizational initiatives and special projects as needed/requested

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Ability to pass a background clearance
- Valid Arizona Driver License, proof of automobile insurance
- Entry level to three years office management, community service experience or national service a plus
- High level of computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Excellent time manager
How to apply
Physical Work Environment:
- This is an in-person position
- May occasionally work irregular hours including evenings and weekends
- May participate in physical work involved in prepping large-scale volunteer projects- packing, loading/unloading, painting, etc.
- Will be exposed to warm/hot weather
Salary and Benefits:
The starting hourly pay for this position is $24. Benefits are not included for PTEs. There may be potential to transition to full time at a later date.
