Position Overview

The Monthly Giving Coordinator is responsible for managing the Constant Companion monthly donor program and serving as the primary point of contact for all monthly donors. This includes handling cancellations, upgrades and downgrades, payment method updates, and other donor inquiries. The coordinator will deliver exceptional service and stewardship, while also supporting canvassing and other donor acquisition efforts. Key goals for this role include increasing monthly giving revenue and retention, as well as developing and executing effective stewardship and acquisition strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all Constant Companion monthly donors, independently handling phone calls and emails related to upgrades, cancellations, renewals, and payment updates.
  • Maintain accurate and timely data entry of monthly donor information in the donor database, ensuring a high level of data integrity.

 

  • Monthly Giving Retention
    • Partner with the Development Operations Manager to strategically design and implement a comprehensive stewardship and retention strategy.
    • Independently lead donor stewardship efforts, including new donor thank-you calls, emails, and cards; anniversary acknowledgments; and planning donor tours and stewardship events.
    • Manage the lapsed donor process, including creation and distribution of targeted letters, emails, and follow-up calls to encourage re-engagement.

 

  • Monthly Giving Acquisition
    • Collaborate with the Development Operations Manager to strategically plan and execute acquisition efforts, including upgrades, reactivations, and new donor acquisition.

 

  • Canvassing Oversight
    • Oversee canvassing efforts with minimal supervision, including tracking cancellations and credits, reconciling invoices, and facilitating bi-monthly check-ins with canvassers.
    • Coordinate and lead training and tours for canvassers to ensure they are well-informed about AHS and its programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least one year in nonprofit development required, preferably with experience in monthly giving or donor stewardship.
  • Experience in Raiser's Edge and Luminate Online preferred.
  • Impeccable customer service skills with internal and external customers. Must be comfortable in a highly collaborative team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent time management skills; must be able to work well under pressure and multi-task.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
