United Cerebral Palsy of Central Arizona is looking for fulltime Direct Support Professionals to work with us in providing our members with the skills and assistance to live as independently as possible. This position will also provide transportation to and from our facility. Our Adult Day Program provides our members with opportunities to learn socialization and to improve their independent living skills, and teaches them how to establish goals in their Individual Service Plans (ISP).

Located at our north Phoenix facility (19th Avenue & Pinnacle Peak), we have a beautiful campus with classrooms, kitchen, laundry area and an outdoor area for exercise and gardening.

Successful completion of background and drug screen required

Job Types: Full-time

Starting pay: $16.00 hourly – $300.00 Sign on bonus after 90 days

What You'll Do:

  • Participate in all related activities that provide skill reinforcement in development such as physical activity, socialization, communication, arts/crafts and daily living activities
  • Ensure implementation of member’s ISP goals according to individual’s support plan
  • Transport and assist members safely in a company vehicle to/from program and in the community using company passenger van.
  • Assist members with eating, hygiene, other daily living and social skills

 

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be minimum of 18 years of age
  • Valid driver's license in good standing
  • Ability to successfully pass background checks
  • Must be able to obtain an AZ fingerprint clearance card. We will assist you with the application process and pay fee.
  • A passion and commitment to providing direct care/assistance to another individual.
  • The desire to make a difference in someone else’s life by helping them unlock their potential
