Position description
Join this growing national nonprofit organization on the ground floor. Our mission is to raise awareness of Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), also known as Dyspraxia. DCD is an under-recognized but common neurodevelopmental condition that affects approximately 20 million Americans. It impacts coordination and movement and may be perceived as a “mild” condition; however, it can negatively affect quality of life and mental health when left undiagnosed and untreated.
This position could be an excellent growth opportunity for the right candidate. Position will require an average of 15 hours per week. This includes scheduling and attending a weekly Zoom meeting, but other hours are flexible.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Schedules and attends weekly meetings, creates agendas, and takes meeting notes to be posted for review.
- Works with the team to create on-brand social media posts to promote awareness and fundraising.
- Schedules approved social media posts to be posted across platforms using Canva’s content planner on a weekly basis.
- Responds in a timely manner to incoming communications including call center messages and website contacts.
- Reports user activity on website and social media.
- Handles sensitive and confidential information.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- One year of administrative experience required.
- Proficiency in Google Workplace applications and Canva preferred.
- Ability to plan, create, and post regularly on social media including Instagram, Facebook and Linkedin.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Non-profit experience preferred.
